Education

Click here for info on this year's MacCollege!

AMUG is a non-profit educational organization whose purpose is to educate and inform about the Macintosh computer and all the hardware, software, and peripherals that you can use to be more productive in your work and have more fun at play. To that end, we have monthly general meetings to answer questions and present what's new, and we produce a monthly newsletter, the Maclanta.

We also offer classes and smaller groups that focus on specific areas. Special interest groups generally focus on one topic, a little more intensively. MacCollege is a series of classes designed to broaden knowledge about Macs, Mac programs and how others use their Macintosh.

MacCollege At MacLanta Xpo
Free Mac-related classes are offered at each MacLanta Xpo, which is presented twice annually. Click here for more information on MacCollege.

Help us out with SIGs!
We're looking for people who are interested in leading special interest groups. If you're interested in learning more about a specific topic, or want to start a group that concentrates on a specific topic, Contact the Education Director at education@amugonline.org.

SIG Ideas
We want to come up with some more SIGs for people to enjoy and learn from. If you're interested in any of the following, please e-mail education@amugonline.org. From these, we'd like to start planning out what people want and are looking for from AMUG SIGs.

  • Programming SIG
  • Business SIG
  • Mac OS 9 SIG
  • Forward-thinking SIG (A SIG about any new technologies that are out there)

Feel free to write with your own suggestions. This is your AMUG: don't hesitate to send along your suggestions!

DISCLAIMER
The content and location of all meetings are subject to change without notice, so be sure to check here on a regular basis for the latest details. Comments and recommendations should be addressed to the Education Director at education@amugonline.org.
