MacLanta Xpo 3.0
Bigger and Better
Than Ever!

The Maclanta Xpo is event that is sponsored by the Atlanta Macintosh Users Group. The event is a all day affair that consist of several components that are designed to enrich and enlighten the Macintosh enthusiast.

This year the Maclanta Xpo 3.0 will be held at The Art Institute of Atlanta on March 29 from 9am till 5 pm. Along with an incredible location AIA has a state of the art classrooms overflowing with the latest Macintosh hardware and software that will be at our disposal. The Maclanta Xpo will consist of several activities including:

Apple Speaker Jack Quattlebaum from Apple will be our Keynote Speaker; he will be showing everyone what is new with Apple. After his presentation you will be able to go to classes and learn how to use the latest Apple software.

The Mac College consists of classes that are offered though out the day designed to educate all in the Macintosh community. Not only will there be classes on Apple software there will classes on subjects ranging from troubleshooting your Macintosh to 2D and 3D animation, Web design and more. Check our tentative schedule.

The AMUG Swapfest will be at the Art Institute of Atalanta in rooms 416A-B from 10 am till 3 pm. The swapfest will be FREE to buyers and on-lookers this year. Make sure you get their early "that's when the GREAT deals can be had" and bring the green stuff! If you find more good deals than you have money for there is a ATM on the first floor.

For AMUG members that want to be vendors or sellers there will be no charge for your first table. If you would like a second table there will be a $5 charge. For non AMUG members there is a $10 charge for your first table and a $5 charge for your second table. Space is limited for sellers so to ensure a space you must contact Doug Franks at [email protected].


Apple equipment on display. There will also be the newest Mac equipment on display that you will be able to test drive and if you like, you can place your order there. True one stop shopping!

The Cyber Cafe: You will have free internet access in a comfortable place to rest and converse with attendees during the day's events. There will be food available from vending machines and more during cafeteria hours. An ATM Machine is on-site.

The Mac Clinic will be hosted by AIS Computers, offering Mac service, tech support and repair. And as another bonus for being an AMUG Member, You can have your system checked out by one of AIS' technicians free!

The AMUG Auction will conclude the day. This will be made up of donated items from vendors, local resellers and merchants that you will be able to bid on and take home at greatly reduced prices.

This will be one Mac event you don't want to miss so mark March 29th down and get plenty of sleep the night before. Hope to see you there.
