AMUG Special Interest Groups
Special interest groups, or SIGs as they are referred to normally, are held either as a one-time event or as ongoing monthly meetings. They are for smaller groups and focus on specific topics, such as desktop publishing, database design, etc.

SIG schedules are announced in the AMUG newsletter, Maclanta, on the AMUG Online Community and here on the Web Site.

If you are interested in hosting and/or need info on a SIG, contact Mike Henigan, on the AMUG Online Community

AMUG SIG Lineup
New Users Training Class
Just got your first Mac? Don't know how to turn it on? Never fear, AMUG is here! On the First Saturday of each month, longtime member John Kanaly hosts the New Users Training Class.

This is an informal get-together where new users can ask basic questions, (like how do I turn on my Mac?) in a small group setting.

The new users training class starts at 1 PM and is located at the Creative Circus. Directions can be found at the bottom of the side bar, the Online Community and the AMUG newsletter, Maclanta. You can RSVP John Kanaly @ 770-425-0522

Basic Systems Training Class
The Basic Systems Training Class is held on the third Saturday of each month (except December) at New Horizons Computer Learning Center. The class begins at 10:00 A.M. and continues until 1:00 P.M. AMUG veteran Jaddie Dodd is your instructor and will cover one of a series of three topics at each class. January begins with Basic Use of the Mac OS. The February class will cover the Internet, and the March class covers Basic Mac OS Troubleshooting and Maintenance. In April, the series starts all over again with Basic Use of the Mac OS. Registration is required. Please RSVP to Jaddie.

MacCollege
MacCollege is AMUG's community education event where classes are held by some of the leading experts in the group on topics of interest to any and all Mac Users. It is open to the public and, best of all, it's FREE!

MacCollege is held twice a year, in two semesters - one in the Spring and one in the Fall. MacCollege is planned to be held in conjunction with AMUG's Maclanta Xpo's. Be a part of MacCollege and broaden your skills!

Have a suggestion for a future MacCollege Class?
Just email the Education Director with any suggestions or ideas you might have for class subjects. AMUG will do it's best to accommodate your needs, as well as the educational needs of the entire Mac Community. That's what MacCollege is all about!

Want to contribute to AMUG by teaching a MacCollege Class?
AMUG is always looking for volunteers willing to help out by sharing some of their expertise. Again, contact the Education Director to help out. You've certainly benefited from AMUG. Why not spend a couple of hours of your time helping others?
