Join us on April17th for our first AMUG "virtual guest"!

John Welsh, the well-known author of "The Network Manager" columns at MacWeek.com archives and numerous articles on MacTech Magazine. Will join us for a special teleconference via webcam to speak to the group about basic networking topics, networking under OS X, how to network a Fortune 500 company, and anything in between. John will answer any questions you may have about this topic and speak on the state of all things Mac.

The meeting will be held at Macquarium on April17th. Directions can be found here. The meeting will begin at 7:00 P.M. with an extended question and answer session. Bring your Mac questions and/or problems and try to stump our own AMUG experts. If they can't help, then maybe John can. He'll be online with us starting at 8:00 P.M.

The meeting will conclude at 9:00 P.M. with some terrific door prizes. So come on out and experience our first virtual Mac Celebrity presentation."

John C. Welch is a Mac/PC Admin for AER Inc. as well as a columnist for MacTech Magazine. He's also a contributing editor for MacFixIt. John is the co-author of the "Administrator's Guide to MacOS X Server", for Prima Publishing, a regular presenter of networking sessions at MacWorld Expo, and member of the MacWorld Expo Conference Advisory Commitee.

He's been supporting Macs since the Lisa, and every System version therein, in addition to many Unixen, AS/400s, and all forms of Windows. Networking experience includes Networking experience includes SNA, APPN, APPC, TCP/IP, NetBEUI, some Netware, AppleTalk, AppleShareIP, NFS, SMB, Lantastic, and others.
