Replacement for a CD player
«

My CD changer is failing and it's impossible to find a replacement - except for DVD changers that cost a lot more. If I'm going to spend some money, I'd rather find a way for an iPod to play through my Airport Express, which is connected to my Tuner/Amp. I can use iTunes to play music that way and I'm hoping there is a way to make it work for an iPod. Perhaps a base for the iPod that connects to the Airport and/or Tuner/Amp?

The first obvious choice is Airport Express with Air Tunes.

Christina,
I've already got an Airport Express connected to my stereo. I need something that plays good old fashioned CDs. I finally found a Sony 5 disc carousel on eBay. Thanks anyway.

Your best bet may be to look into one of the many, many, many external devices you can plug your iPod into. Most have speaks, I'll wager some have AV outputs so you can connect to your stereo system.
