April Meeting (on Ustream - the commercials are short, and we get cut off sometimes, but we dont have to pay for this live broadcast and recoring service.)

Final cut pro - when the special effects are all done, the end product is assembled here. very organized easy way to put it all together.
Aftereffects - is limited when changing the size of the timeline.
Motion - gun muzzle flashes. matching up the effects with the movements in the frame. guy in the woods with a plastic gun and look real.
Skills Involved: Color grading footage. color can take an image to manipulate the scene. split it into three separate things. trees, sky, and ground. do the night shots and make them look more clear and real.
Soundtrack Pro - this is stock music so that there are no lawsuits from the professionals. sound effects. sword fights, gun shot sounds, pretty much any king of sounds that are royalty free. shortest song is 10 minutes. take the same music and split it up into the movie. here and there, it all matches
After effects for explosions and mocha.
Maya and 3ds max 3d effects of going inside the gun and out to see the action that is normall not seen.
Motion4 is a different kind of 3d He likes to use the coordinates from Motion to expand the 2d into 3d in Maya
Mixing digital and practical. digitally put a bullet hole on the tree, or just to to Alabama and put an m80 to blow the tree bark. Oh yeah, cheaper to do that and much faster to do it in After effects. The bullet hole comes from the Action essentials package.
Have camera shake, need Mocha to make the bullett hole stay on the tree, even tho the camera guy is running around. Layer the motion track with parenting. Muzzel flashes, bullet holes, green screening, blood splattering. Presenting to NetFlix soon!! Check for AE Productions.
