I was looking through my old receipts to see if I could find where I bought a very used Mac LC for my mother several years ago (no luck with the receipts); the place was on a road that came up to Northside Drive, close to the Waterworks (well, close to what's now Atlantic Station [it was also possible to get there from Peachtree Road by taking the street that goes down beside the Amtrak line at Brookwood Station]); it was in a single-storey, warehouse-like building, but I can't remember the name and can't find any sign of it.

If it still exists, does anyone know what its name was (or is, if they changed it)?? The LC has finally given up the ghost (I suspect it's the power supply, but haven't yet had a chance to test it). I bought another used Mac there for someone else and both worked out well. If it's not possible to replace the power supply (if that IS the problem), I'd like to go see them again. If they're now out of business, does anyone have any other suggestions for retailers of used Macs? I don't particularly want to do mail-order for a used machine.

Hey Dewey,

The only place over there that I am aware of is Retrotech's which is right on Northside.  Only place i have know about over in that part of town.

Thanks, Mike.

That name doesn't sound familiar, but I'll look them up. I need to go by IKEA late tomorrow so I may try to swing by RetroTech (if they're still open then).

Disregarding the Northside Drive portion of your description it sounds more like Mac of all Trades. Physically they've moved to Florida, but they do most of their work by mail regardless.
