Just bought it 3 weeks ago; found that I needed the iPod 30 gb, so bought that one too.

Gave the nano to a friend for an early Xmas present. She has a PC; tried to install it on her PC this afternoon.

I had already blanked out the Nano....

Wouldn't recognize it on the PC, was unable to install.

I read in apple support that there is iPod software. Can't find it. Nothing but iTunes software available. She has the latest for the PC...

any ideas?

Be careful what you ask for, you just might get it

Yea .. You need to root around on the APPLE site a little more to find what (I think) you are looking for ..

Check this page out .. see if it dosent help you ..

http://www.a...pod/five_rs/

also -- from the looks of things, installing itunes 7.01 also gives you the ability to reinstall the OS on your ipod.  So there may not be a need for what used to be the older iPod Updater software -- it looks like they baked it into itunes ..

let us know if that helped
