Dumb Mail question
«
on:

I just gave my laptop to my daughter and have have moved all my files to my trusty old G4 tower. Minor problem: Links in Mail open a new window in Safari; they used to open in a new TAB. Want the Tab back.... What am I missing?

Be careful what you ask for, you just might get it

Safari does tabs? Cool! .. I thought only Firefox did tabs.
Anyone want to take a pass at this (and teach a few cool tricks to the rest of us too?)
I googled it and came up with the following promising link:
http://www.t...rowsing.html
It sounds like you have to enable a double-secret debug option, (Onyx?), to show the ability to turn on tabbed browsing. But under 10.4.6, Using safari 2.0.3, I see no tabbed browsing option normally.
Thoughts?

Michael,
As far as I know, Safari has always had tabs. You turn it on in the Preferences.

*Smack* (sound of open palm hitting bare forehead)
Thanks for the pointer -- you're right .. it's part of the preferences .. I now have it turned on.
I'm used to crawling the pulldown menus for "options" .. for some reason, I faded out and forgot to roll through the preferences options .. thanks ..
I'm still drawing a blank on your origional request tho ..
again, thanks for the pointer!
