Interrested in which other AMUG members live near you?
Select the Map button up top and you'll see a list of other AMUG members world wide. Blue pins are guys; Pink pins are gals, and click on a pin and see who it is.
To enter your location just click the link under the map, or go to Profile, and select Forum Profile Information. Down at the bottom is a map you can use to plot where you are.
Only other AMUG members can see the map, and if you're really paranoid you don't have to put your specific location (just put your pin in a nearby major intersection).
The latest update now offers you the chance to use Google Earth!

Chris I don't know who is responsible for the map - it's a good idea but it really drives us nit-pickers up the wall when we see words misspelled - "hear" for "here." Larry

LOL - I'll find and fix that. I'll also send the info to the developer.

Updated the GoogleMaps mod to .50. Spelling change made, avatar in the popup, and permissions to allow only certain groups access to view and place pins.
Developer is VERY responsive. :-)

Does not work for me. :-( The button does not display properly - it shows as a "missing graphic". When I click on it, it shows "An error has occurred!" Lee.

Hmmmm...I just noticed that when I click on the Map button, it takes me to the Google Map, but I'm the only "pin" on the map...
What, should I change my deodorant?

When placing your pin, I think your pin is all you'll see. After that if you go to the main Map you'll see other pins... but I'm not seeing any now. I'll check into it. (Edit) Yeah, you don't see any other pins when you're placing your own location.

I just checked again, and it appears to be working now.

Well, the update to 1.1 RC3 of the forum software broke GoogleMaps, but it'll be back soon now that the final release of 1.1 is out.
