I tested the LED lights, and only get the 1st one to light up, which means the power supply is okay. I then pressed one of the buttons for power and had no response. I went through the instructions from Apple's website, and it says it is the logic/motherboard. I had it replaced back when it was discovered there was a recall of sorts, so it is the newest part. No, I do not have any AppleCare, its expired. Does anyone have experience with replacing an iMac board?
thanks, martha

If this is the iMac G5 20", 1.8Ghz machine, then it looks like the motherboard is $529 ($349 with exchange) from Blue Raven (aka PreOwned Electronics).

The work shouldn't be too bad, an hour or so.
