New Kate Bush CD -- Aerial

Any other Kate fans in the club? What do you think of Aerial?

A friend of mine in High School introduced me to Kate, and I've loved her stuff since. Aerials is okay (the Sensual World is still my fav), but I think concept was a bit flawed. Maybe a bit too much time went into production?

I just remembered - somewhere I have the retail promotion poster for Sensual World - it's something like 6' tall.

You have the giant Sensual World promotional poster, and it's not gracing a wall somewhere in your abode?!?!?!  I've got a giant poster of The Dreaming album cover around here somewhere as well. Maybe it's time to put it up again somewhere in my study.

My favorite album is still Hounds of Love, and I think that one and The Dreaming are her most brilliant work. But Aerial comes in a very close third, especially the Sky of Honey CD - that's just pure genius.

iTunes has several of her other albums, but sadly not my favorites: Hounds of Love, The Dreaming, and the new one Aerial. However, these are available from other online services, like

If you're new to Kate, most people seem to think that Hounds of Love is her most "accessible" album -- for many, she is an acquired taste. I would say that The Sensual World would be really good for a newbie, too.

Was listening to Kate's new release, Aerial, again tonight. I find myself listening to this one over and over again, especially the second CD "The Sky of Honey."  It's simply amazing. I find new meanings in the lyrics with every listen, and the music and her voice are just perfect. I don't think I will ever get tired of this CD -- it's been in my CD changer since I bought it back in November. I'll have to check my iTunes to see how many times I've listened to it on the computer or the iPod....
