I opened Google Earth today and got a weird view. Everything works fine but there is a "cross-hatch" of black diamonds on all images until you zoom down to the single photo level. I upgraded to the latest version (with Goodle Sky) and the problem persists. Here is a screen shot:

Well, we had some trouble with Google earth at the Expo this weekend, but I reinstalled it and it seems to be working fine.  Maybe it has something to do with how your internet connection is working.
