new msg tag?

Would be nice if it were easier to figure out where the new messages are since the last time I logged on without having to scan the dates on the right for a today or yesterday. Would be nice if there were just the idiot proof red flags like the old amug had. 

Am I missing an easier way?

If you look at the top of the page there's a link called "Show unread posts since your last visit". You can click on that and it'll give you a list of all the messages since you last visited. From that page there's a link to show all un-read messages as well.

And if you look next to the boards you'll see the AMUG peach (it use to be the SMF logo). If it's in vibrant color then there's a new message in that board. If it's a dull color then there are new posts in a child board within (like Mac Desktops in Hardware). If the peach is simply a dull grey then there's nothing new.
