So, if you look under your name in a post you'll see a title like Newbie, and five AMUG peaches for Board members or Administrators. As you post more and more they'll obtain different group levels that are only meant to indicate your participation in the forum. Name | Stars | Required posts | Newbie | 1 | Zero | Drifter | 2 | 50 | Regular Visitor | 3 | 100 | Power Poster | 4 | 250 | Full-time Resident | 5 | 500 |
But these are the default names. So, what names should use?

I recommend that the quantity change, so that we can get some more quality posts, instead of folks concentrating on numbers and stats, we can get some serious discussions going!

Chris, Martha and I wqere talking. What is the point of having the little forum poster tiles if they are NOT really attainablefrom a regular user. I ran this list by Martha and she thought it sounded faine to her. I tok what you stated and modifed it while adding some mroe titles Newbie - 0 Lurker - 25 Visitor - 75 Member - 150 Part Time Resident - 300 Power Poster - 750 Full Time Resident - 1000 Crazed Poster - 5000 There you have it. I think the list makes several of the lesser titles atainable and gives some folks some fun with it. Mike

How about "Apprentice" or something like that rather than "Drifter" (negative connotation to me -- replace it with something a little more encouraging).
But (and I'm sure MARTHA would love this), is there a way to somehow come up with a ratio that shows the level of activity per time logged in, that may indicate how much of a "lurker" one person is..
The more messages per time logged in, the more "engaging" the person is, the less, the more they are a "lurker" and we need to draw them in.
Thoughts?
Mike

...Crazed Poster - 5000 ... Heh .. more like OBCESSIVE COMPULSIVE rather than CRAZED .. (Rabid? ... SpamMasterFlash?) Good point, Mike -- I like the "Smoothness" of your gradiation.

Well, it seems that information is available... Look at anyone's profile (click on their name).
