Title: Shrinking Huge jPegs ??? Post by: Jeffrey Prince on May 13, 2007, 12:06:46 PM [Running 10.4.9 on TiBook]
I have a folder with 120 jPegs that came from a digital camera that had its' resolution set too high. Each jPeg is about 700-800K in size. How can I select the whole folder of 120 jPegs and shrink each jPeg within it to a resoluiton that is appropriate for computer screen use, emails etc.? These are not pictures that I would expect to ever print but I would like them to look good on computer screen and iPhoto slideshow. Thanks in advance- Jeff Title: Re: Shrinking Huge jPegs ??? Since you plan on viewing them in iPhoto in the future, why don't you just batch import them into iPhoto and then do a batch export? When you do the batch export, you can size them down to what you want. John Title: Re: Shrinking Huge jPegs ??? You should also look into Graphic Converter. It has a batch convert feature that is very powerful. You can do things like rename files, change their color depth, crop them to a specific size/aspect ratio, resize them by a percentage, and much more, all at the same time. There are also some shareware utilities (I haven't tried these out, just heard about them)... EasyBatchPhoto (http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/12190/easybatchphoto) PhotoDrop (http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/24886/photodrop) EasyCrop (http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/11268/easycrop) ImageWell (http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/11375/imagewell) Title: Re: Shrinking Huge jPegs ???
