Title: Converting WPS File?
Post by: Michael Henigan on May 20, 2006, 11:47:32 AM
Hello,

Anyone have any suggestions on how to convert a WPS (I assume that is WordPerfect) file?  I had a friend send me a file, but can't seem to open it with anything that I have.  I also can't explain to him how to make it a text doc to send to me instead.

Anyone have an idea how to get it open?

Mike

Its probably a microsoft works file, believe it or not. Here is one solution, but it will take a windows box to do it. Even Microsoft Word can't read a works file.

That goes to Microsofts website to the their converter to convert works files to word files. Neo office or most anything will open a word file on a mac.

Richard is right, it's a MS Works Windows 95 document. Easy to translate if you've got MacLink Plus....
